What are the inorganic compounds?
Inorganic chemical compounds are those that contain a structure different from the mnemonic acronym: "CHONX" (Carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, halogen). Although there are inorganic compounds formed by one or more of the elements mentioned above. As it can be the Carbon (carbon chains), the NH3, Hypochlorite. We can establish that if the central structure does not contain "CH" it is an inorganic compound with the exception of H2CO3.
Inorganic chemicals that may enter the water supply from natural causes or contamination must be evaluated to determine, understand, and apply the standards set by the Health Authority.
Each inorganic compound that dissolves in water is characterized by the health authorities under the following points.
- Chemistry
- Exposure to the environment
- Health effects
The inorganic compounds that can be dissolved in water are classified into four groups, type A, B, C and D.

Type A.
Inorganic chemicals that are classified as type A are those that have a high potential for toxicity and are therefore not expected to be present in drinking water.
Type B.
Inorganic chemicals that fall into this category are those with high toxicity, but which are rare in drinking water and when they do appear they do so in very small concentrations.
Type C.
Inorganic type C chemicals are those that occur frequently in drinking water, and do so in concentrations that are safe for humans. It is rare when they appear above the toxicity limit, but when they do, caution should be exercised.
Type D.
Inorganic chemicals of type D are those that are found in very low concentrations in well water and drinking water, apart from being non-toxic in low concentrations.
