Description

Low pressure amalgam UV lamp for water disinfection.

The purification system is composed of low-pressure amalgam UV lamps instead of mercury UV lamps. This allows it to maintain high emission percentages (close to 100%) despite the increase in temperature, unlike standard lamps and high-intensity lamps.

Low pressure amalgam UV lamps are composed of 3 elements:

Galio
Indian
Mercury

The use of ultraviolet light deactivates a wide variety of microorganisms that may be present in water such as cryptosporidium, giardia, protozoa, bacteria and viruses with an inactivation of up to 4-log (99.99%).

Main features

Up to 30% more efficient than low-pressure mercury lamps (36 to 40 W UV-C vs. 30 W UV-C mercury lamps).

The percentage of UV emission is not reduced in spite of the temperature as it happens in standard lamps and high intensity lamps.

Elimination of chloramines and ozone previously applied in industrial processes to control microorganisms.

More compact equipment compared to conventional lamps.

Reduced number of components, as fewer bulbs are required, which in turn reduces maintenance costs.

Greater energy efficiency by requiring fewer bulbs.
