Activated carbon is used to purify process liquids and water.

Activated carbon is the most widely used liquid purifier to remove from a wide range of water contaminants that can be harmful to humans, such as industrial and municipal wastewater; groundwater, landfill leachate, etc.

The effectiveness of purification with activated carbon depends on several factors:

The nature of the organic matter.

Substances with a high molecular mass and low solubility in water adsorb better.
The concentration of the substance to be removed (the percentage load). The higher the concentration, the better the adsorption.
The presence of other compounds, resulting in competition for the available adsorption space.
The parameters of the liquid (temperature, pH…).
The type of activated carbon selected.
Discoloration of beverages and oils.

Based on some basic process criteria, activated carbon is able to provide different solutions for each application.

The different raw materials (coconut shell, mineral and wood) give us different types of pores, which are not applicable to all types of liquids, plus the particle size and the degree of activation are two additional variables that make these three raw materials, a diversification for different applications.

ACTIVATED CARBON PRODUCTS

Carbotecnia Activated Carbon products are packaged in standard 25 kg bags, 1 cubic foot (ft3) bags or 500 kg or 1000 kg super sacks (big bags), stacked on pallets.

Our activated carbon is a particularly effective decolorization and purification medium and is widely used in these industries.
