Description
Parker’s Honeycomb™ industrial filtration coil filter
The Honeycomb™ wound filter was designed by Parker over 65 years ago with high quality due to its manufacturing process compared to competitors. This places Parker as a leader in the filter media industry thanks to its innovation and outstanding product performance.
The wound filter consists of a rigid central core, usually made of metallic materials such as stainless steel or tin-plated steel, on which a filter media is wound. This media can be made of different materials such as cotton, polypropylene or rayon, selected according to the chemical and thermal compatibility with the fluid to be filtered.
The filter media is wound in layers around the core, forming a precise winding pattern. The winding can be adjusted to create different degrees of density and porosity in the filter, allowing for different filtration capacities.

Wide variety of models
Wound filter cartridges offer excellent adaptability to a wide range of substances, including organic solvents, animal oils, petroleum products and vegetable oils, thanks to their diverse selection of filter media. In conjunction with the wide variety of sizes, O-rings and end caps can be coupled to other brands of filter vessels, making them versatile and applicable to more than one treatment system.
Certified quality and safety
The polypropylene filter cartridges meet strict FDA regulations and are certified under ANSI/NSF61 for use in contact with drinking water. Materials such as cotton, polypropylene, nylon and polyester are also FDA approved for use with consumable and potable liquids under Title 21 of the CFR.
It is also ISO9001:2008 certified.
High performance designs
It features optional core covers and end treatments designed to effectively prevent fiber migration. Uniformity in filament winding ensures consistent and reliable performance. In addition, the use of an enlarged, one-piece metal center core design significantly improves ease of use in multi-cartridge filter vessels by eliminating the need for cartridge guides.
Honeycomb™ wound filter applications
These filters use a unique honeycomb winding design, which allows them to offer high efficiency in the removal of particles and contaminants from various liquids. Its robust structure and the quality of FDA-grade materials such as polypropylene, polyester, nylon, rayon or cotton, ensure durability and consistent performance, even under demanding conditions.
