How to apply BioCar to my plants or crops?
Biochar is a natural and organic soil improver that you can use in gardens, pots, vegetable gardens, terrariums and even in your lawn. Biochar is even used in agricultural applications. There is more than one way to use BioCar on your plants. It can be used in addition to enriched soil, mixed with compost, organic fertilizer, or applied directly to the soil.

Pots
Apply a proportion of biochar equivalent to one part per ten parts of soil.

Terrariums or pots without drainage
Place a 5 cm thick layer of biochar on the base.

Established plants or trees
Make a 5 cm deep channel around the base of the plant. Fill the channel with biochar and mix thoroughly with the surrounding soil.

Ornamental grass
Mix biochar with compost or organic fertilizer in a 1:1 ratio. The recommended amount is approximately 0.5 to 1 kg per square meter. Spread broadcast over the lawn and water it in so that it is properly incorporated into the soil.

Agricultural plots
Typical biochar dosage on agricultural plots varies between 5 and 10 tons per hectare, depending on soil quality and crop objectives. Biochar can be incorporated directly into the soil using tillage equipment.

Frequently asked questions and general usage
Can I use BioCar with compost and fertilizers?
Yes, BioCar is particularly suitable for application in conjunction with biological inoculants during germination, such as compost or organic fertilizers.
How should BioCar be applied to achieve proper distribution?
Although the product is slowly incorporated into the subsoil, it can be added prior to tillage to achieve a deeper and more homogeneous distribution.
Should the BioCar be moistened?
In which cases should BioCar be applied?
BioCar is recommended for soils with low carbon content, very compacted soils (which do not allow aeration and root growth), soils that do not retain moisture and with low pH levels (acidic soils).
How to get better results with BioCar?
To obtain the maximum benefits of BioCar, it is recommended to apply at a rate of approximately 10%. Also, its effect is potentiated if the soil is protected with a mulch of soil, to favor the activity of beneficial microorganisms.
When should I reapply BioCar?
BioCar has a long half-life so further applications are not necessary when soil analysis indicates a carbon content of >5%.
