Description
Industrial salt with high sodium chloride content
Roche Premium Industrial Salt is a high purity product (minimum 99.6% sodium chloride), ideal for water treatment applications, regeneration of ion exchange resins and chlorine production.
This product is produced from solar evaporation of seawater in selected crystallization areas, which guarantees its physicochemical characteristics.
It may be thought that the pellet avoids blockages in the suction duct of water treatment equipment, but in practice, neither industrial salt nor pelletized salt generate blockages, as long as the product has good purity and control of insolubles.
Roche industrial salt applications
Water treatment
Roche industrial salt is used for brine generation in water treatment equipment, specifically in hard water softeners. The brine regenerates ion exchange resins saturated with calcium and magnesium ions, which restores their ability to retain these contaminants and thus prevent scaling in pipes, boilers and industrial systems.
Sodium hypochlorite generators
Industrial salt acts as a raw material for the generation of sodium hypochlorite in-situ by means of a brine to which a salt electrolysis process is carried out. Its high purity allows efficient, safe and long-lasting production as it is a quality source of chloride ions for the generation of sodium hypochlorite.
Benefits of high purity industrial salt
Physicochemical characteristics of industrial salt and salt pellets.
Each bag of salt weighs 20 kg and its dimensions are: 60 cm long x 40.5 cm high approximately.

Why use industrial salt?
Although pelletized salt has a more uniform and compact appearance, with ovoid particles up to 9.5 mm in diameter, and industrial salt has a size range of 1.19 to 4.76 mm, both perform effectively in water softeners and sodium hypochlorite generators.
The physical form should not be the main selection criterion, but its physicochemical properties, such as high purity of NaCl and low presence of water insolubles, moisture, calcium and magnesium in the salt.
