The Gold Recovery Process with Activated Carbon

Once the carbon has adsorbed the gold, it’s removed from the pulp. This “loaded” carbon is then subjected to a desorption (elution) process, where the gold is separated from the carbon using a hot solution and chemical agents, such as caustic soda and cyanide. The gold is recovered from this solution through electrolysis or precipitation, yielding a high-purity final product. The carbon, once stripped of gold, can be regenerated and reused in the process, contributing to efficiency and reduced operational costs.
