Description
The Parker PROPOR BR bioburden reduction filter PROPOR BR
PROPOR BR filters are for fast and cost-effective reduction of bioburden from fluids and solutions in the pharmaceutical industry. PROPOR BR filters include in their body an integrated pre-filtration layer to pre-filtrate liquids before they reach the finest part of the filter. The pre-filtration layer reduces dirt and large particles, protecting the polyethersulfone (PES) membrane, extending its durability and lifetime. (PFAS-free models available)

Retention of LRV > 5 by Brevundimonas diminuta
The filter can reduce the concentration of minute Brevundimonas by a factor of more than 100,000 times. (LVR > 5) So the bioburden reduction is highly efficient.
Built-in pre-filtration to prevent clogging
The addition of a pre-filtering layer helps extend the life of the polyethersulfone cartridge by retaining large particles that could cause clogging.
Low adherence. Low product loss
Designed to have low adherence and avoid retaining molecules from the filtered liquid. This minimizes product loss in the microbial reduction process.
PROPOR BR filter applications
The polyethersulfone membrane allows a bioburden reduction greater than 5 (in logarithmic terms). This high microbial protection and bioburden reduction capability of PROPOR BR is suitable for applications of large volume liquid preparations that are administered intravenously (Large Volume Parenterals / LVP) in their bioburden reduction stage, before the fluid reaches the terminal sterilization filters.
