Description

Aquex brand granular activated carbon (GAC) cartridges.

GAC granular activated carbon cartridges

Granular activated carbon cartridges effectively reduce unwanted tastes, odors, chlorine taste and odor in drinking water. * They are designed to allow maximum contact between water and carbon, ensuring maximum adsorption.

The cartridge construction allows water to enter at one end and pass through the entire length of the carbon bed before exiting at the other end of the cartridge, while an internal expansion pad minimizes channeling or bypassing.

Before the water exits the cartridge, a 20-micron post-filter helps reduce carbon fines and other suspended particles from the filtered water. The post-filter is permanently fixed to an innovative support basket that guarantees its firmness and eliminates any possibility of bypass.

Aquex has a wide range of cartridges, which are available in a variety of sizes and flow rates, and effectively provide good filtration of general purpose drinking water.

Features and benefits of granular activated carbon cartridges:

  • 10″ × 2.5″ granular activated carbon cartridge with pads on each end.
  • Carbon filtration is excellent for the removal of chlorine, bad taste, odor and color and can be effective for the removal of many chemical contaminants.
  • This cartridge fits standard 10″ and 20″ housings (depending on the model).
  • To keep your filtration system operating efficiently, replace this cartridge as needed on a regular basis. This can be 6 to 12 months for many residential applications.
  • Water flows from the bottom to the top with the rubber seal at the top. Each cartridge is marked with an arrow to indicate the flow path.
  • The cartridges are individually wrapped for purity.

Common applications of GAC cartridges:

Premium coconut shell activated carbon cartridge is often used for reverse osmosis prefiltration and many other filtration applications.
