Benefits and Features

Purtrex is a true graded density filter (lower density at the filter surface with progressively higher density towards the center) captures particulates throughout the entire depth of the filter. This results in a longer life and fewer changes from existing coiled rope or agglomerated filters.

Purtrex does not contain wetting agents, solvents, antistatic agents, or binders, and meets FDA requirements for food and beverage contact.

Purtrex Depth Cartridge Filters are made from thermally bonded polypropylene fibers. GE Water certifies that it does not use resin binders, lubricants, antistatic loosening agents, or other additives in the manufacture of these cartridges, and that the resin used to manufacture the filter media meets the food contact requirements of the regulations. US FDA CFR 21. When necessary, specify only FDA compatible sealing materials and end adapters. GE cartridge filters are designed and manufactured for resistance to a wide range of chemical solutions. Conditions will vary with each application and users must carefully verify chemical compatibility.
