Granular filtering mediums

Nombre

Descripción

Silic Sand: ( gray )

It’s the most used granular filtering medium due to its low price. It is manufactured in ranges of 10x20,20x30

Garnet

Granular medium that is applied in the low part of deep filtering beds. It is manufactured in 30x40.

Anthracite

Mineral and granular carbon of lower density than sand, that is installed in the high part of dual beds or deep filtering beds. It is manufactured in sizes of # 1 (0.6-0.8mm) # 1 ½ (0.85-0.95mm) # 2 (1.7-2.0mm)

Filter AG ( silic sand non-hydrated )

Silic sand of low density that requires less flow of retrowash. It is manufactured in 12x30.

Gravel

gravel is utilized as support beds and it is manufactured in ranges of sizes of of 2x1 ½ , 1x ¾ , 1/2 x ¼ , 1/4 x 1/8, 1/8x1/16.

KDF

Nombre Descripción

KDF

Granular medium made with copper and zinc that eliminate hydrogen sulfur, iron and diverse heavy metals and acts as a bacteriostatic agent.

Eliminator of iron, manganese and F2S
Nombre Descripción

GREEN SAND

It is manufactured from glauconite green sand to retain iron, manganese and hydrogen sulfur present in water by oxidizing and filtering. It regenerates with a diluted solution of permanganate of potassium.

MTM

Granualr medium of manganese dioxide used to retain iron, manganese and hydrogen sulfur present in water by oxidizing and filtering. It regenerates with a diluted solution of permanganate or potassium and has a lower density than the green sand.

PYLOROX

Mineral of manganese dioxide that acts as a catalizer in the retention of hydrogen sulfur, iron and manganese. It doesn’t require chemical regeneration but it is necessary to add an oxidant to the water.
